Here's something to mull over while paying bills or pumping $2.00-a-gallon gas: the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's list of the highest-paid Georgia CEOs in 2004 (reg req'd).

Topping the charts is Home Depot's Robert Nardelli, who took home over $39 million for successfully promoting sprawl and laying waste to local hardware stores. By contrast, the home improvement chain only paid $5.5 million in August 2004 to settle a sex discrimination lawsuit brought by the EEOC.
