Heightening concerns about who will decide the presidential race, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh recently argued in a dissent that the federal courts have authority "to ensure that state courts do not rewrite state election laws." He also claimed that mail-in ballots that arrive after Election Day would "flip the results," adopting the president's questionable framing.
