September 23, 2025 - A new report by the Institute for Southern Studies and 19 other state and national organizations outlines a pro-democracy agenda for North Carolina on issues ranging from voting access to combating corruption, protecting court independence, and defending the right to protest.

March 30, 2023 - A coalition of advocacy groups recently released a report offering ideas on ways to protect and promote democracy in the state. Some of these proposals have since been incorporated into legislation that’s been introduced at the General Assembly.
