Barry M. Hager is director of the North Carolina office of People For the American Way, a national, nonprofit educational group dedicated to the preservation of our constitutional rights and liberties. Over 13,000 Southerners belong to People For. Hager is an attorney, former Time magazine correspondent, and former counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives subcommittee on environment, energy, and natural resources. (1984)
