Larry Rogin currently lives in Washington, DC, where he works with the AFL-CIO Labor Studies Center and AFSCME's Education Department. He has been involved in labor education since the 1930s, teaching first at Brookwood College, then developing the education program for the Hosiery Workers. Later, he became education director for the Textile Workers Union and, finally, for the entire AFL-CIO when the two federations merged. This overview article is based on a 1969 study he co-authored with Marjorie Rachlin entitled Survey of Adult Education Opportunities for Labor: Labor Education in the United States. (1976)
